The Society was notified recently it will receive one of the prestigious Power of A Summit Awards from the American Society of Association Executives for the CPA Center of Excellence®. ASAE is the national association for associations, which represents thousands of groups of members. This year there were a record number (147) of submissions for the annual awards competition.

Power of AThe Power of A Awards are designed to “showcase how associations leverage their unique resources to solve problems, advance industry/professional performance, kick start innovation and improve world conditions.”

The Indiana CPA Society, a state association, is in the company of five national associations including the Public Library Association, the American College of Chest Physicians, the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators, the American Counseling Association and the Association for Corporate Growth. Awards will be presented at a dinner in Washington, D.C., on October 5.

We and the hundreds of INCPAS members involved with creating and supporting the CPA Center of Excellence® are so proud to be recognized for this honor.

Looking at some of the past winners, we’re in the amazing company of award recipients such as the Emergency Nurses Association for their ‘Ebola Crisis Response,” the American Society of Mechanical Engineers for “Future Engineers 3D Space Challenges” and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy for “Advancing Medical Care in Developing Countries.”

Every profession is presented with challenges, and being able to create solutions and opportunities for our members is a privilege.

Creating these solutions would not be possible without the support, input, dedication and years of hard work put in by Indiana CPAs going above and beyond what’s normally required.

What began in 2010 as a study of knowledge management and collaboration progressed and evolved into a start-up business in 2014 that has quickly become the pioneer in competency-based education (focused on vital business skills) and skills assessment resources, programs and tools specifically for the CPA profession. And the evolution continues, always, with member feedback on what works, what doesn’t, and most of all, what else we can do to help them.

This award may mean we’ve reached a “Summit,” but this is still just the beginning. If you haven’t had a chance to check out our programs, you can find out more about everything at!
